Who are we?
Hope Action Care is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, community-based organization. Established in May 1987 and has been funded by the United States Conference of Mayors, the Texas Department of Health, the Office of Minority Health, the Centers for Disease Control, the Department of Housing and Urban Development, the United States Department of Health and Human Services, the Texas Department of Housing and Community Affairs, the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Administration, and many other generous corporations, businesses and private donors.
Currently, Hope Action Care provides an affordable apartment rental experience through two facilities (Broadway Heights Apts & Peery Plaza at Elmira St.) totaling 102 units.

The mission of Hope Action Care is to be San Antonio's affordable housing choice that is committed to providing the best quality of life for our residents, and a suitable living environment for the families and individuals we serve, without discrimination.
We are committed to serving our community's housing needs, providing a safe and nurturing environment in a neighborhood that is attractive, clean and well maintained. Our interaction with residents shall demonstrate courtesy and respect. We will work with public and private entities, community resources, as well as partnering with local entities to provide families with opportunities for quality affordable housing in livable neighborhoods.

Broadway Heights Apartments consist of a total 98-units (32 efficiencies, 40 one-bedroom and 26 two-bedroom apartments) located near Fort Sam Houston, Pearl Brewery and downtown.
Being ourselves a non-profit organization, it is our intention to reinvest any profits back into the facility and/or provide extremely competitive rental prices for our tenants. We are proud to say that we consider ourselves the best - quality/price- apartment complex in the area serving a variety of tenants from professional, military, university students, to regular working families.
With the expansion of Fort Sam Army Base and the improvements set forth by the City of San Antonio for Broadway Street, our complex is strategically located to receive all the benefits of both events. If you have seen us before, but have not seen us lately, you will be pleasantly surprised.
